As you might have guessed, my name is Donna, and I live in the Midwestern portion of the United States with my two fur babies - Angel and Mr. Whiskers. I was born and raised in St. Louis, MO (I'm a diehard Cardinal baseball fan), and work in the Quality Assurance department for a major medical imaging facility. I'm a certified and licensed American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter, and graduated with honors in August 2006 with a degree in Deaf Communications Studies / Interpreter Training Program. I also hold a Certificate of Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL). I love to go to sci-fi conventions (yeah, I'm a geek...but I'm a cute one), and you might find me frequenting the occasional website or internet forum in hopes of stirring up harmless trouble.

Another of my favorite hobbies is writing. I've been doing it since I could pick up a pen (well, crayon actually) - poetry, short stories, essays, parables, inspirational - whatever moves me to write. Sometimes it's serious, sometimes inspirational, sometimes just downright stupid - but always something I've loved to do. Not only is it a release for me, but it is always my hope that something I have written might in some small way uplift someone else. Even if it's something as silly as a limerick or an account of how I gave my cat a bath the other day, if I can bring a smile to someone else's day, I feel like I've done my job as a writer. Laughter is indeed a medicine that is greatly lacking in the world today.

Various accomplishments (other than last year's graduation): I'm a recurring member of the National Dean's list, a member of Phi Theta Kappa, I hold a brown belt in Tae Kwon Do (I was training for black when I quit...must finish someday), and a while back I briefly took up some Archery. I'm not sure if the last qualifies as an accomplishment, since it seems I can only hit the broad side of a barn. However, I'm giving myself leeway since I'm a beginner. As long as I don't hurt anyone else and keep my own bruises to a minimum, I should be fine.

Miscellaneous interests and hobbies (other than sci-fi cons): I like to play around on the computer (working with graphics and website building, mostly), spend money (what woman doesn't), I absolutely love sports cars, and...oh, did I mention I like to consume extreme amounts of chocolate? I think I did. Then of course there's my love of all things feline. Actually, I adore animals of all sorts - anything fluffy, warm, and loveable. Can I say that and get away with it??? I guess it depends on who is reading this.

If you really really want to know more about me (I don't know why you would, but if you do), I've compiled a list....
